5 scholarships…$2,000 each

Alliant is pleased to announce our annual Members Scholarship Program exclusively for Alliant Credit Union members. Through this program, 5 scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 each.

Guidelines

All applicants must be Alliant members in good standing and have an Alliant savings account in his/her name
Students must be applying to or enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a college, university or vocational/technical institution during the fall semester of 2013 to be eligible (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester: graduate programs do not qualify)
Alliant employees, board of directors, scholarship committee members and their family members of the same household are not eligible
Applications and required paperwork must be received by Friday, June 14, 2013

Required Paperwork

Completed Members Scholarship Program Application (PDF)
A statement of personal goals (100 word maximum)
An essay on "What does belonging to Alliant Credit Union mean to me?" (250 word maximum)
A complete list and description of community involvement/activities
An official copy of high school or college transcripts (whichever is applicable)

Program Rules
The Members Scholarship Program is being made and conducted by Alliant Credit Union at 11545 W. Touhy Avenue, Chicago, IL. Applicant must be an Alliant member in good standing and have an Alliant savings account in his/her name. Not applicable to graduate programs. Employees of Alliant, its board of directors, scholarship committee members and family members of the same household are not eligible for the scholarship. All entries must be received/postmarked by June 14, 2013, and become the property of Alliant Credit Union. If you are awarded a scholarship from Alliant Credit Union, your signature verifies that the information you have provided on the Members Scholarship Program Application is correct to the best of your knowledge and authorizes Alliant to utilize all or a portion of the information contained herein for purposes of press releases and/or articles for publication in Alliant newsletter(s), website, newspapers, trade magazines, etc., announcing the scholarships, recipients' names, schools attended and other reported information. The winners will be selected and notified by Friday, July 26, 2013. To learn who won, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Alliant Credit Union, Members Scholarship Program, PO Box 66945, Chicago, IL 60666-0945. Winners will be notified by phone and announced in Alliant Branch locations, website and newsletter(s). If a winner cannot be contacted or has not claimed the prize within 30 days of notification, a runner up(s) will be selected and notified. All winners will be requested to sign an affidavit of eligibility and a release which will be provided by Alliant. Acceptance of this prize constitutes authorization to use the winner's photo, other likeness and name without compensation. There will be a total of five scholarships awarded in the amount of $2,000 each. Checks in the amount of $2,000 and for the benefit of the winners will be directed to the winners' respective educational institution. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of entries received and selection process by the Alliant Credit Union Scholarship Committee. No substitutions will be made for the prizes. Prizes are nontransferable. Winners are responsible for any tax liability. Members Scholarship Program is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited. All terms and conditions of Alliant products apply. Contact Alliant for more information. Members do not have to be present at the time of winner selection. Alliant reserves the right to revoke and/or substitute any or all prizes. Graduate programs do not qualify. Alliant reserves the right to change the rules at any time without prior notice. Also, Alliant reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time without prior notice, and reserves the right to disqualify any applicant who fails to comply with the rules.
